Introduction
O2, as part of the larger Telefónica Europe, provides fixed, mobile and broadband services for no fewer than 45.8 million customers across Europe, in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Isle of Man, Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Telefónica Europe owns a stake in Tesco Mobile in the United Kingdom and Ireland, Manx Telecom in the Isle of Man and Tchibo Mobilfunk in Germany. Overall, it employs 29,000 people in Europe, and reported revenue of €14.3 billion in 2008. The O2 brand – which is how Telefónica Europe is known to its customers – continues to grow, in strength and reputation, in each of its established markets.

Pay monthly mobile broadband is also available with 3GB and 8GB download allowances, according to which tariff you choose, but both include a free USB ("Universal Serial Bus") modem, or "dongle", and a free Nokia 2630 mobile phone is included in the price. Mobile broadband access can also be bought on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
